This site is named 'Wordwise' because 'language' and 'documents' are massively important factors in all aspects of modern life, yet they are poorly understood.

Click here for information about the publication ‘Organic Language’.

By exploring these topics, I hope to unearth tools to facilitate the understanding of what is actually going on in the world, and the factors that affect our perceptions, thoughts and attitudes.

Please note that all ideas presented here are merely opinions, supported by argument and references where possible.

Friedrich Nietzsche said:

‘All words are tropes, in themselves, and from the beginning.’1*

‘All words are tropes, in themselves, and from the beginning.’1*

I agree with him, and go further, to say that everything we think of as ‘knowledge’, is imagery, in one form or another.

‘Wordwise’ is the homepage of Ian Bruce, resident of Sydney, Australia. The 'ideas' I put forward here, are 'imagery': conceptual structures I have found useful in exploring subjects and practices over the years. I hope they prove useful to others.
